Method

  1. 1Squeeze grated lauki gently (do not press dry).
  2. 2Heat ghee, fry nuts and raisins; remove.
  3. 3Add lauki, stir 5 min till raw smell goes.
  4. 4Pour milk, gently bubble 25 min stirring, till milk reduces and lauki cooks.
  5. 5Stir in sugar, gently bubble 5 min till halwa pulls from sides.
  6. 6Cardamom + nuts on top; serve warm.

About this recipe

Use coconut yoghurt + oil instead of ghee/curd to make vegan.
