A blender, ripe watermelon and four minutes — this is the no-cook cooler we make on repeat through the hottest weeks. A pinch of black salt is the step most recipes miss: it pulls the melon's sweetness forward and replaces the salts you lose in the heat. Top with a splash of sparkling water for lift, and keep the mint coarse so it perfumes rather than overwhelms.

Method
- 1Blend chilled watermelon with lime juice, mint and black salt until juicy and smooth.
- 2Strain if you want a cleaner drink, or leave it pulpy for more fiber.
- 3Chill the blended juice for a few minutes.
- 4Top with sparkling water just before serving.
- 5Pour over ice and garnish with mint.
